Panaji, September 26, 2015 …. Entries are invited by the Department of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa from independent artistes, art students, art teachers, and tableau contractors from the state of Goa for preparing the designs for R-Day Tableau 2016 for Goa State by 3:00 p.m. on 5/10/2015.
Those interested can submit conceptual designs on the topics such as any important episode from the history of the State, festivals celebrated, Cultural/architectural heritage including any aspect of the life of the people, any important social and economic development scheme, project or achievement of outstanding nature which merits a display in the National Parade, environment and vision for the future.
The designs have to confirm to the guidelines of Ministry for Defence which can be collected alongwith other documents from the Department of Information and Publicity, 3rd floor, Udyog Bhavan, Panaji-Goa, from 24/9/2015 to 5/10/2015 during working hours.
The designs should be on A2 size paper and the selected artist may also be required to prepare a 3 dimensional model at a later stage and also will have to work closely with the music composer and fabricator of the float, etc.
The designs will be judged by the Committee constituted by the Government and the selected designs will be awarded Rs. 2000/- each.
Further, the selected designs will be sent to Delhi to the Committee constituted by the Central Government for selection of the Tableau. The selected designer will have to accompany the State Government Officers to explain and clarify any doubts about the design before the Committee.
The Department will bear the air fare of the selected artists who are invited for making presentation before the Expert Committee of Ministry of Defense at New Delhi.
