Panaji, October 10, 2015 …. All the Headmasters of the High Schools and parents are informed that the Entrance Examination for Admission to STD. VI & IX in Sainik School SATARA for the year 2016-17 will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016.
The application has to be filled Online only. The written Entrance Examination for class VI for Mathematical Knowledge Test and Language Ability Test – One booklet will be conducted from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. and Intelligence Test from 12.00 Noon to 12.50 p.m. on Sunday 3rd January 2016.
The entrance Examination for class VI will be conducted at Ahamednagar Centre in Pragat Secondary & Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, Near Chitra Theatre, Ahmednagar; for Aurangabad Centre Govt. Girls School, Near Chhavani, Police Station, Subhash Chowk, Cantt, Aurangabad; for Kolhapur at Vikram High School, Near CBS, Shivaji Park, Kolhapur; for Latur centre at Shri Vyankatesh Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Latur; for Mumbai centre at Saraswati Mandir High School, Senapati Bapat Marg, Between Mahim Railway Station and Matunga Road Railway Station, Mahim(W), Mumbai; for Nagpur at Patwardhan High School, Sitabuldi, Nagpur; for Nanded centre at Zilla Parishad High School for Girls, Behind Court, Near Shivaji Statue Nanded; for Pune Centre at S.M. Choksey High School & Junior College, Convent Street, Near Shivaji Market, Camp, Pune and for Satara centre Sainik School satara, Satara (Maharashtra).
The Entrance Examination for Class IX will be held on Sunday, 3rd January at Satara in SAINIK SCHOOL.
The age limit for Class VI Boys examination is for those born between 02 July 2005 and 01 July 2006 ( both days inclusive) and for Class IX Boys is for those born between 02 July 2002 and 01 July 2003 ( both days inclusive) and studying in VIII Std. are eligible.
The seat Reservation is 15% for SC, 7 ½ % for ST; 25% for Defence (Serving/Ex) after balance seats after reservations of SC & ST.
The school prospectus together with the prescribed application form and model question paper, (for class VI or IX) can be obtained from the school by Demand Draft (of Nationalised Bank only ) payable at Satara drawn in favour of the Principal, Sainik School, Satara on payment of Rs. 425/- and for SC/ST candidates only Rs. 275/- (Attaching Xerox copy of caste certificate is compulsory).
