23/06/2014 … Having been unable to raise certain issues pertaining to the state of goa the state congress party has decided to ask all of their concerned mla’s to raise state relevant issues in the upcoming monsoon assembly session said president of the goa Pradesh congress committee john Fernandes

It may be noted that the state congress party presently has a total of nine mla’s in the present state legislative assembly which is led by opposition leader pratapsingh rane

Out of the nine mla’s most of the times in the past two years only the curtorim mla reginaldo lourenco has been in the forefront of raising state issues before the house while some of the other congress mla’s have been merely spectators in the state for the past two years being least bothered to take up any issues of the state and even from his own constituency

Speaking to goanreporter gpcc president john Fernandes said that the issue was raised at the executive committee meeting of the party which was held on Friday evening where in most of the congress member were of the opinion of asking the congress mla’s to take up concerned issues of the state in the upcoming assembly session

Fernandes also stated that though the congress mla’s might have taken a rest for two and half year without power now his party would forced his party mla’s to take up concerned issues or else if certain mlas were feared of raising issues then the concerned mla should sit at home away from political life
