Panaji: November 23,2016 …. The Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar inaugurated four days on duty workshop on “Skill of Language” for school teachers ( Marathi and Konkani subject)and Government officials at a function held at Nalanda hall of EDC in the city today. The Workshop was organized by the Directorate of Official Language. The objective of the workshop is to impart training and information pertaining to grammer of both the languages to the participants.
The Chief Minister while speaking said that the Government has encouraged use of local languages in official transaction. Hence the business of Assembly has also begun in local languages. The workshop he said organized will help the participants to improve grammer and skill of language.
The Chief Minister further said that there are different kinds of crimes are taking place every day. Tips and instructions provided in the book Sawadh Rawat will be useful for people to make them alert from any untoward happening . He advised read the book and be carefull he added.
MLA and Chairman of EDC Shri Siddharth Kuncalkar in his address appreciated Directorate Official Language for the initiative taken to organize Skill in Language workshop for concerned people from teaching field and Government offices. He said the workshop will help the participants to improve their knowledge of grammer and language in large.
Shri Nanasaheb P.Jamadar and Shri R.N..Kulkarni both experts of Marathi Language were the resource persons for the workshop. School Teachers, Officials of various Government Departments and others participated in the workshop.
Shri Prakash Kamat Senior Journalist spoke about “Sawadh Ravaat” a Konkani version of English book “Watch Out” written by Dr. P.K. Mishra former DIG translated in to Konkani having title “Sawadh Ravaat” This book is about how to protect ourselves from crime, deceipt, forgery etc. He said this book contains important information pertaining to be careful about untoward incidents taking place around us.
“Sawadh Ravat” is a translation of English book written by Former DIG Dr.P.K. Mishra and translated by Sr, Journalist Shri Prakash Kamat was also released at the hands of Chief Mister on the occasion.
Ms.Sneha Sabnis Junior Translator compered the function while Shri Anil Sawant Asst. Directot proposed the vote of thanks.
