CHILRANKAN- CONTEMPORARY PAINTERS’ CAMP HELD

Panaji,  February 8,  2019 … “The artist must showcase their regional styles and take up the graph of the Art work to the heights by using latest technology”, stated Shri Mahesh Vengulekar, Principal Collage of Art. He was speaking as a Chief Guest on the occasion of concluding function of Chilrankan- Contemporary Painters’ Camp which was organized by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa in joint collaboration with West Zone Cultural Centre, Udiapur.

Shri Gurudas P. Pilarnekar, Director, Art and Culture, Shri Ashok Parab, Dy. Director, Art and Culture and Shri Hemant Mehta, Programme Officer of West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur where present on the dais.

Director of Art and Culture, Shri Gurudas P. Pilarnekar welcomed the gathering and highlighted the reason behind organizing such types of camps which helps artists from all over the country to share their experience.

Shri Mahesh Vengurlekar along with other dignitaries visited the Art gallery of the Sanskruti Bhavan were the art works of the participants were displayed. He congratulated all the participants for their efforts. Certificates and mementoes were presented to the participants at the hands of Chief Guest.

In total eighteen artists were participated in this camp along with two Goan artists. They are Shri Kanwal Pan Singh and Ms. Gurmeet Goldiee from Patiala, Ms. Supriya Amber and Dr. Mallikarjun C. Bagodi from Nagpur, Ms.Taslim Jamal, Shri Chaitatanya Patel, Shri Durshit Bhaskar, Shri Premjit Baria, Ms. Suhani Jain and Shri Kiran Shekhane from Udaipur, Ms. Shubha Agrahari and Shri Kaushlesh Kumar from Allabad, Shri S. Sivabalan and Shri S. Pugalenthi from Thanjavur, Ms. Dipali Saha and Shri Raban Saha from Kolkota and Shri Vitesh Naik and Ms. Sonia Rodrigues Sabharwal from Goa. Each artist created two art works during the said camp.

The Chitrankar Camp was organized from January 25, 2019 to February 1, 2019 for eight days at Sanskruti Bhavan, Panaji. The concluding function of the said camp was held on February 1, 2019 at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto.

The comparing of the concluding function was done by Shri Pradeep Naik, Shri Hemant Mehta, Programme Officer of West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur also expressed his view on the occasion and Shri Ashok Parab Dy. Director of Art and Culture gave vote of thanks.
