Parrikar was addressing the state a function held at Gandhi Chowk at Old Goa as the State paid homage to the father of the nation on his 145th birth anniversary.

Present at the function included North Goa MP Shripad Naik, Cumbarjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar, former power minister nirmala sawant dignitaries and students of various schools from goa.

the dignitaries later garlanded the statue at the Gandhi Circle in Old Goa On the occasion, prayers were recited by a pundit, maulana and a priest in front of the large audience.

Speaking on the occasion chief minister Manohar Parrikar said that Gandhi jayanti was a day which was needed to be remembered in everyone life so as to follow good principles of love and affection towards the nation which could help us to ease lot of problems in our day to days life and specially urged goans to help his government to clean up the garbage from the state with a mission kept in mind of 15th December 2015 …
