Addressing media persons outside the raj bhavan after meeting the governor bharat wir wanchoo at dona paula on Tuesday morning ccp mayor surendra furtado said thatI have to bring to your kind notice that this Corporation has the will and the capability to bring about a sea-change for the betterment in the living conditions of the teeming citizens within Panaji and has in mind to develop Panaji in an orderly and systematic manner by providing all the essential services and urged the governor to see that 74th Constitutional Amendment was enacted more strongly in to the state of goa by giving major powers to the corporation
furtado also said that he had informed the governor of the corporation not receiving a single pie from the state government since the time he had taken over the mayor of the corporation city of Panjim
