17/12/2015 …. Chief Minister laxmikant parsekar has urged the mining truck owners to call off their strike and start with the resumption of its services in the mining activities ….
Speaking to media reporters at the secretariat at porvorim chief minister laxmikant parsekar said that e would like to request the striking truck owners to accept the company rate at the moment and assured to increase the rate once the dollar would improve in the international market.
Mr parsekar also stated that his government had help the mining sector in the last three and half years after the halt of mining activities in the state and therefore the truck owners should also need to help the state government in re starting the mining resumption
Parsekar also stated there were also certain people who had vested interest in creating problems in the mining belt and taking political mileage out of it
