December 30, 2014 …. IGP Shri Sunil Garg, IPS has lauded the initiative of the Disaster Management Cell of the Indian medical Association and the Manipal Hospital Goa for imparting training in Basic Life Support to the PCR staff of the Goa Police Department.
He was speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony at a simple ceremony held at the Goa Police Headquarters, Panaji.
Dr.Shekhar Salkar: Chairman – Disaster Management Cell, IMA Goa State & Chief of Clinical Services & HOD Oncology Dept, Manipal Hospitals Goa in his address offered his support to the PCR help to serve the humanity in distress and said required life saving equipment would be provided to them. He said PCR staff are the first persons who come in contact with the accident casualties and therefore the training provided to them will go a long way in saving precious lives.
Earlier Dr. Salkar presented certificates to SP (PCR) Shri Umesh Gaonkar to be handed over to the trained police personnel.
