Panaji, February 2, 2018 … Talukawise Assessment camp for persons with disabilities under Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP) is scheduled by Directorate of Social Welfare in co-ordination with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India, Jabalpur (ALIMCO) from February 2, 2018 to February 7, 2018. The timings of all these Assessment Camps are from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
On February 3, 2018 it will be held at Shree Gujarathi Samaj School for Deaf and Dumb near Maruti Temple, Davorlim Margao and Dhareshwary Devasthan Hall, Dharbhandora.
On February 5, 2018 it will be held at Lok Vishwas Prathisthan School, Dhavali Ponda and at Sanguem Municipal Council.
On February 6, 2018 it will be held at Quepem Municipal Council, Quepem and on February 7, 2018 it will held at the Mamlatdar office in Canacona.
The ADIP scheme aims to address Hearing impairment, Locomoter disability and Visual Impairment. It also proposes to provide Hearing Aid, Wheelchair, Artificial Limb, Daisy wheel and Smart cane to eligible elderly beneficiaries depending upon their physical impairment.
Any differently – abled Person having 40% Disability, should posses an Aadhar Card or have applied for the Aadhar Card with income limit of Rs. 1.80 lakhs p.a. can avail of this facility.
