27/03/2014 ….. All the eight nominations forms filled up by respective candidates for the upcoming north goa lok Sabha seat were accepted by the Returning Officer and north goa Collector D.P. Dwivedi during the process of forms scrutiny on Thursday  

in the North Goa constituency with the deadline for filing of nominations for the April 12 Lok Sabha elections ending on Wednesday, sitting BJP MP Shripad Naik and his Congress challenger Ravi Naik are among eight candidates who have filed their nomination papers for North Goa Parliamentary constituency.

The final list of nominations as on Wednesday is as follows: Shripad Naik (BJP main candidate), Ravi Naik (Congress main candidate), Dayanand Narvekar (independent), Dattaram Desai (Aam Aadmi party), Suhas Naik (Communist party of India), Raju D’Souza (Samajwadi Janata party – Rastriya), Ranjitsingrao Rane (independent) and Mittu Mujawar (independent).

the last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 29 while the elections in Goa are scheduled for April 12 and the counting of votes in Goa will be done on May 16.

Meanwhile even though the office of the north goa collectorate has been busy in the process of lok Sabha elections its staff and employees have been facing a tough time due to the non availability of daily water in the collectorate building

Water shortage has been noticed for the past two days in and around the collectorate building which was not brought to the notice of the north goa collector D.P. Dwivedi

Presently the office building staff has been using the remaining water from the water storage tank for its daily use
