EDUCATION IS THE BEST INVESTMENT-SHRI FRANCISCO DESOUZA

Panaji, December 22, 2012 … The Deputy Chief minister Shri Francisco De Souza has said that the education is the best investment to higher up in life and lead a happy and  comfortable life. He appealed to the parents to give good and higher education to their children.

Shri Desouza was speaking as a chief guest for annual social gathering and prize distribution function organized by Shree Dayanand Arya High School at Neura in Tiswadi yesterday.

Speaking further Shri De Souza said it is the responsibility of every one of us to provide healthy atmosphere to our children to enhance their inborn so that  they emerge as responsible and worthy citizens of the country. He told parents to interact with their teachers about the progress of their children. There is no alternative to education as it is a key to all-round development he further added.

Shri Desouza congratulated the students who received awards for educational excellence and cocurricular activities. He also appreciated the teachers and the staff for their endeavor to achieve students progress.

Prof. Ramrao Wagh Chairman of AZMANE High School advised the students to acquire technical education to secure jobs in the industrial sector. He appealed to the students to avail the Government schemes like Goa Scholar to pursue higher studies in abroad. He congratulated the recipients of awards. He also appreciated the NGO Rotary Club for their commendable services in educational field and adopting the Dayanand Arya High School for this purpose.

SirCharles Bonifacio Immediate Past President Rotary Mid Town-Panaji also spoke on the occasion.

Shri  Vinod Kamat Sarpanch, Shri Vithu Narvekar Chairman of the High School,Shri Shashikant Naik, Chairman PTA, and other members of the managing Committee and staff and teacherswere present on the cassion.

Shri Madhav K. Kharvi, Head Master presented the annual report of the school activities. Shri Shashikant Sawant ,Gen. Secretary welcomed and introduced the guests. Smt. Uma Vaze Savoikar  compered the function.
