Panaji, September 07, 2018 …. Minister for PWD Shri Sudin Dhavalikar has said that an amount of Rs. 6 Crores has been earmarked for development of Village Panchayat Sports Ground complex at Marcaim. The Sports Complex he said, will have provision for necessary Sports facilities and Sport infrastructure.
Speaking as Chief Guest after commissioning a new road leading from Shree Navdurga Temple to Caranzalem, Marcaim junction costing to Rs.10. 05 Crores at a function held at Marcaim , in Ponda taluka recently. Shri Dhavalikar said the State Government is committed for the promotion of sports and in this regard several projects and programmes have been undertaken to encourage sports persons and boost sports infrastructure in the State.
Speaking further Shri Dhavalikar said, the endeavour of the Government will be to see that the aspirations and expectations of the people in the state are fulfilled. He mentioned that all existing internal roads in Marcaim areas would be taken up for repairs and added saying that widening of stretch of road from Mahalwada to Ladewada in Village Panchayat Marcaim will be taken up on priority. He said, the ongoing work of construction of 4 lane stretch of Road from Mahalwada to Navdurga Temple in Marcaim will be completed by December 2018.

Shri Ramu Naik Sarpanch VP Kundaim, Shri Rajesh Kavlekar, Sarpanch Kavle Panchayat, Shri Kulkarni, Executive Engineer PWD, Dr Gokuldas Sawant amongst others were present on the occasion.
