Panaji, December 15, 2012 …. Minister for Health, Shri Laxmikant Parsekar has said that the work for improvement of Tuem Community Health Centre would be taken up shortly under the funds of the Central Government costing of Rs.1.50 Crores.
This was stated by the Health Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar when he along with Speaker, Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Senior Officers from Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) visited the Community Health Centre, Tuem in Pernem taluka, yesterday.
They went around all units of the Health Centre and acquainted themselves with the conditions of the hospital.
Shri Parsekar told the GSIDC Officers to take immediate necessary steps in improving and providing facilities in this Health Centre.
The Health Minister also said that Ultra Sound, X-ray and operation theatre would be equipped with modern facilities at this health centre so that the patients in Pernem and nearby areas can get appropriate treatment. This, he said would help to reduce burden on GMC and District Hospitals in the state.
Thereafter, the Health Minister and Speaker visited the Goa Antibiotics and Pharmaceauticals Ltd. at Tuem and acquainted themselves with the workings of the Goa Antibiotics.
They were received by Shri. Surendra Vernekar, Managing Director and Shri Dayanand Kanekar, General Manager of Goa Antibiotics at the venue.
