Panaji: February 11, 2018 …. The Goa Kala Academy (GKA) in association with Shree Mahalaxmi Sansthan Panaji organized “Nakshatra Utsav” which was inaugurated by Shri Gurudas Pilernkar, Member Secretary GKA, at Mahalaxmi temple in Panaji, recently.
The programme began with the classical singing by young artiste Shri Ramnath Naik.
Shri Pradeep Gaonkar, Programme Officer, GKA informed that the Nakshatra Utsav programme was aimed at providing a platform to the young budding artistes from the state. Those young artistes who are undergoing training in Indian classical music, dance, vocal etc. need to be provided a platform to showcase their talent and thereby encourage Indian classical music.
The participants in the programme will perform solo classical singing, solo performance in harmonium, tabla, dance, kathak, bharatnatyam etc.
