The only way through which consumers can be protected is with effective awareness about their rights. stated Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Shri Govind Gaude while speaking as the Chief Guest at National Consumer Rights Day function held in the city today.
The Directorate of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs celebrates “National Consumer Rights Day” annually. The theme for this year celebration was ‘Emerging Digital Market, ,Issues and Challenges in Consumer Protection.
The Minister further said that the present trend of digital marketing also carries many challenges and to tackle them challenges there is a need of digital and financial literacy. .He appreciated the consumers who were honored for their courage against traders and trading companies.
Secretary to Civil Supplies Shri Rupesh Kumar Thakur IAS . in his addreas said that the digital marketing provides easy accessibility. Therefore most of the people prefer to go for e-marketing . But it has a risk of stealing our personal data therefore it is necessary to make awareness among consumers.
