Panaji: December 24, 2017 … Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar presented rewards for the winners of Traffic Sentinel Scheme at Police Headquarters recently.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister said, once the scheme is popular amongst the violators who violate traffic rules, the number of violation will be reduced.
Shri Parrikar also announced a bumper reward, wherein lucky traffic sentinel will be the recipient of a motorcycle and four wheeler. Shri Parrikar further hoped that by 2019, deaths on the road should be reduced to 50 percent and zero death on the roads in the coming years.
Present on the occasion were Director General of Police Dr. Muktesh Chander, Inspector General of Police Shri Jaspal Singh, IPS, SP’s and other police officers.
Shri Mahesh Amonkar, Shri Aditya Katharia and Shri Deres Fernandes who accumulated highest reward points were the winners of Traffic Sentinel Scheme.
