Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda secured a spot in the semifinals of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy 2025, organized by Batora United Club in association with Margao Sports Club, after defeating United Club Verna 3-1 at the DSYA Ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.
Sowell Fernandes opened the scoring for Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda in the 7th minute, giving his team a 1-0 lead at halftime. Despite United Club Verna’s attempts to control the game in the second half, they failed to capitalize on their chances. Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda extended their lead with goals from Joel Furtado in the 27th and 37th minutes. UC Verna’s Cliton Rebello managed to pull one goal back in the 40th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome.
Sowell Fernandes of Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda was named Man of the Match and received the award from former Dempo Sports Club players Leander Almeida and Valent Fernandes.
