Raia Sporting Club became the champions of the 7th Martin’s Cup after defeating Sporting Club Davorlim 4-2 in a tiebreaker following a 1-1 draw in regular time. The match, organized by
Betalbatim Sporting Club, was held at the Panchayat Ground in Betalbatim on Sunday. Reeve Dcosta scored for SC Davorlim in the first half, while Swedon Barbosa equalized for Raia Sporting Club in the second half. In the penalty shootout, Raia Sporting Club proved to be the better shooters, securing the victory and lifting the trophy. The awards ceremony was attended by Aleixo Sequeira, Hon. Minister for Law and Environment, and various dignitaries, including Rev. Fr. Adriano Furtado, Mrs. Carafina Pereira, Rev. Fr. Agapito D’Cunha, Rev. Fr. Luciano Falcao, Mr. Anthony Fernandes, Mr. Anthony Pango, Mr. Prinston Rebello, Bonny Pereira, and members of the Village Panchayat, Betalbatim, along with GFA Executive Committee members. The following awards were presented: Best Discipline Team – Canacona SC, Last Touch – Roy-Raia SC, Best Goal of the Tournament – Sheldon UC Verna, First Hatrick of the Tournament – Sidney Gaukar, Raia SC, Best Goalkeeper of the Finals – Jake Madeira, Raia SC, Player of the Finals – Delton Colaco, SC Davorlim, and First Goal of the Finals – Reeve Dcosta, SC Davorlim.
