he Government is committed to provide better health security for its citizen and it is in this direction that it has implemented health insurance schemes like PM- Suraksha Bima Yojna & PM – Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna in the interest of the people said Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who was speaking after flagging of two vehicles carrying the message by way of advertisement of the aforesaid insurance schemers at Mantralaya, Secretariat today.
The Government of Goa in collaboration with Goa CSR Authority and Bharat CSR Network launched an Awareness Drive about two ambitious Health Schemes PM Suraksha Bima Yojna, and PM Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojna at Mantralaya Secretariat today.
Speaking about features of those schemes, Dr. Sawant said these insurance schemes are one year term insurance schemes and are provided with risk cover of Rs. 2 lakh on death and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability and with minimal amount of instalments of Rs 20 per year. Whereas in another scheme subscribers have to pay Rs 436/- per year and risk cover provided is for Rs. 2 lakh on death due to any reason. The Government wants these schemes to reach the needy people at grass root level and therefore the two vehicles have been flagged off. These vehicles he said will spread awareness about these schemes so that every eligible citizen will avail these schemes to secure his health. He appealed to the people to avail the benefits of these schemes to secure his life.
Director DPSE Shri Vijay V. Saxena while speaking about these schemes said these schemes are in the interest of common man and are affordable. As the insurance schemes have minimal amount of instalment which is affordable he suggested the people to insure their lives to live secured lives.
