Department of Finance ( Revenue and Control) has directed that all licensed premises ‘ for the sale of liquor’ will be closed on October 19, 20, and 21, 2024 within the areas under jurisdiction of village Panchayat of Harvalem, taluka Bicholim, North Goa District, ward no.7 of village Panchayat Orlim, taluka Salcete and ward no. 6 of village Panchayat Morpirla, taluka Quepem in view of polling day and counting day for the general elections to elect the members of village Panchayat Harvalem, taluka Bicholim,North Goa district. Ward no.7 of village Panchayat Orlim , taluka Salcete, South Goa District and ward no.6 of village Panchayat Morpirla, taluka Quepem, South Goa District.
However, the licensesd premises having license for ‘ Bar and Restaurant’ may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only and bar counter will be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to be served on the above mention days.
