panaji:::October 12, 2016 … Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar recently Chaired the All Party Meeting, called to discuss Mhadei issue which was held at secretariat Porvorim.During the meeting the Chief Minister informed that since the Tribunal suggested to discuss the Mhadei issue out side the court, by the Chief Minister’s of all the three states i.e. Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
The Union Minister of State(IC) for AYUSH Shri Shripad Naik, Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Francis D’souza, Additional Solicitor General of India, Adv.Attmaram Nadkarni, Minister for Water Resources, Shri Dayanand
Mandrekar,Member of Parliament (South), Adv. Narendra Sawaikar, Chief Secretary,Shri R.K. Srivastava and other party Members attended the meeting.
During the discussions the party members put forth their views and suggestions and arrived at the decision that since the Mhadei Case is almost in favor of Goa State,there is no need of having meeting with Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Maharashtra. However in order to honor the decision of the Tribunal It was decided that the Chief Minister of Goa may attend the meeting with Chief Minister’s of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
