Panaji, September 19, 2016 …. The Government of Goa and the state Government of Telangana signed MOU for skill development of Goa in the field of IT and innovation sector at a function held at Utorda Salcete recently.
The Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar and Minister for Information Techology Government of Telangana Shri K.T. Rama Rao Jointly signed the MOU on behalf of their respective State.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Laxmikant Parsekar said that the signing of MOU with the State of Telangana is a historic event which will help to the IT sector in the course of the time. The Government he said has initiated steps and had given emphases on developing IT park in the state . The work of providing land and a policy already has been formulated by the Government.
Chief Minister further said that as on today around 2000 Goan students have secure IT education from the different IT institutions in the country. The Government he said, has already put into force IT policy and hoped to seek cooperation from the State of Telangana to make Goa a IT destination in future, he added.
Minister for IT Government of Telangana Shri K.T. Rama Rao in his address said that the IT Industry is booming in India and the State of Goa has a bright future in IT Sector due to having adequate talent manpower etc. In order to boost IT Industry in Telangana he praised the efforts initiated by the Goa Government to promote IT Education industry in the state.
The Government of Telangana, he said would like to extend cooperation to the Goa Government in the development of IT Education industry.
The R.K. Shrivastava, Chief Secretary, Shri Ajesh Anand, Secretary IT Government of Telangana, Shri Amey Abhyankar, Director of IT, Shri Nitin Kuncaliekar , Member of GCCI expert, professionals from IT Sector , and others attended the function.
