The st cruz mla who has been unattached from the congress party few months back had earlier shown interest first in forming a regional political party in the state but later had also stated to have knocked at the doors of the nationalist congress party in the state
United Goans Democratic Party is one of two formerly dominant political parties in the Indian state of Goa. UGDP has its base amongst the Christian part of the population. It was founded in 1963.
The st cruz mla had in 2002, first contested the assembly election on a UGDP ticket from Taleigao, before he joined the BJP, Congress, UGDP and again, the Congress later being unattached from the congress party till date.
Speaking to goanreporter.com mr monsoratte said that the process of he joining the ugdp party was going on and could be done by the end of next month
Mr monsoratte stated that once joined the ugdp party he would like to see ugdp contesting on atleast 15 seats in the upcoming state assembly elections
Babush also stated that he an independent mla from fatorda constituency vijai sardessai were always friends and would work for the interest of the state while commenting on coming together for forming a regional political party in the state
