Goan Reporter News: Applications invited for National Child Bravery Awards

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi to felicitate meritorious children in the country, aims to give due recognition to young brave hearts who have done selfless acts of exceptional bravery for others, and to young children with exceptional abilities and outstanding abilities who are role models and have had widespread and visible impact on society in field of Sports, Social Service, Science and Technology, Environment, Arts and Culture and Innovation which deserve due recognition at the National level. The awards are conferred by the Hon’ble President of India at a special ceremony at New Delhi.

The applicant/child should be a citizen of India and residing in India. The child needs to be over 5 years of age and not exceeding 18 years as on July 31, 2024. The act/incident/achievement should have been within two years of the last date of receipt of application/nomination for the year of consideration on the website.

State Government, Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, District Collectors/District Magistrates, Panchayat Raj Institutions, urban local bodies, educational institutions etc, may also send nominations for the deserving candidates, who have made exceptional contribution in area stated above and also stated in the guidelines and application form.

The applications may be submitted either by the applicant child himself /herself or anyone else namely parents/officials/teachers etc can also nominate the child. The last date for submission of application forms online is till July 31, 2024.
