Panaji: Nov., 2015 … The Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar along with Shri Siddharth Kunkalkar MLA and Chairman of EDC paid visit to Old Age Home at Chimbel recently and inspected the building premises, and get acquainted with the condition of the building and the difficulties faced thereof.
Thereafter he visited residential building of the staff. He was accompanied by Shri Virender Kumar Secretary Education, Shri Dattaprasad Borkar Principal Chief Engineer PWD, Shri Ramakant Halarnkar Steward, In-Charge of the Old Age Home. Smt. Vasanti Parvatkar, Director Provodoria, etc.
Earlier Shri Parsekar also visited Union High School at Chimbel on the request of the school management where it was brought to his notice that the school is housed on the first floor of the Grampanchayat building,.
Dr. Vishal Sawant Managing Trustee and Shri Arun Nagvekar, Headmaster both brought to the notice of the Chief Minister about the present condition of the building and the long pending demand of land for the construction of school building. They informed that the foundation stone for the school building was laid many years ago, but the construction for the same is yet to be taken up.
