Goan Reporter News: Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Releases Book Authored By Goa Governor

Shankaracharya of Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham Singeri Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam today released a book authored by Governor of Goa Shri. P.S. Sreedharan Pillai which is his 221st book titled `Heavenly Islands of Goa` at a programme held at New Durbar hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.

Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam appreciated efforts of Governor Shri. Pillai for creating wonderful literature in the field of social culture, Indian history and tradition which would be helpful to young generation to make research and study vibrant culture and history of the country.

Swamiji congratulated Shri. Pillai for writing more than 200 books. It is really impressive that he is constantly acquiring the knowledge from all over country, doing his own research and sharing his valuable knowledge through publishing books for the posterity. Books are close to my heart and always prefer reading books whichever places I visit, Swamiji added.

Governor, Shri. Pillai in his welcome address expressed his gratitude towards Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam  for his presence for the function and blessing the gathering.

Governor shared his experiences during Goa Sampurna yatra and Gram yatra wherein he visited historical and heritage places of Goa.

Dnyanpeeth Awardee Shri. Damodar Mauzo received first copy of the book authored by Shri. Pillai at the hands of Swamiji. Shri. Mauzo appreciated passionate efforts of Governor Shri. Pillai towards writing books on varied subjects and crossing the mark of 200 books on his credit.

Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam also visited Gau Shala at Raj Bhavan.

Earlier, Governor Shri. Pillai along with first lady Smt. Reetha Sreedharan performed Padya Puja of swamiji.

Secretary to Governor, Shri. M.R.M Rao, IAS, Addl. Secretary to Governor Shri. Sanjeev Gauns Desai, Comptroller Shri. Kalyana Harsha and others were present on the occasion.
