As in the previous years the Department of Information and Publicity in association with Village Panchayat Bandora and Zilla Panchayat Member Kavlem will be organizing various programmes to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj, a legendary Maratha Warrior on February 19, 2024. The main State Level function will be held at Farmagudi Ponda.
To mark the day long celebration Programmes will be held in the precincts of Shree Ganapati Devasthan at Farmagudi involving School and College students. These includes All Goa “Theatrical entry (Natya Pravesh) Competition” for students at High School & Higher Secondary Level on the life and work of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj from 9.00 a.m. onwards. Each group will be given maximum ten (10) minutes time period for their performance. The winners of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10000/-, Rs.7000/- and Rs.5000/- as first, second and third prize respectively besides certificates to those educational institutions participating in the contest.
Those desirous to participate in the theatrical entry (Natya Pravesh) competition may submit their entries to the Department of Information and Publicity during office hours before February 16, 2024. This will be followed by All Goa “Inter-Collegiate Quiz” on the topic “Life, Times and Legacy of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj at the same venue.
Each college is to be represented by two bonafide students of the college. (Degrees Colleges in Goa). The quiz will have written preliminary Round to select the 5 top teams who will contest the on-stage finals.
Last date to receive the entries is February 16, 2024. Those interested can submit their entries at the Department of Information and Publicity, Udyog Bhavan, 3rd Floor, Panaji-Goa.
The winners will be awarded a First Prize of Rs.7,500/-, Second Prize of Rs. 5,000/-, Third Prize of Rs. 3,000/- and Two consolation prizes of Rs.500/- each.
