Seven days after the inauguration of Bharat Parv at the hands of Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi thousands of people, particularly Delhities, are thronging at Red Fort, New Delhi, the venue for Bharat Parv being organized by the Ministry of Tourism. The 9 days event is being organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Celebrations to celebrate the spirit of India i.e. unity in Diversity. This Mega Event being held annually since 2016 aims at generating patriotic fervor and showcasing the rich and varied cultural diversity of the Country.
This year, the Bharat Parv commenced on January 23 three days ahead of the Republic Day parade held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. It will conclude on January 31, 2024.
The Goa Tableaux displayed at Red Fort since January 23, has been evoking overwhelming response from the General public which is based on the theme Vikasit Goa, Vikasit Bharat depicting Tapaloka Yog Kshetra, Goa’s Marine life and rich cultural heritage.
On January 28 a Colorful Goan Folklore was presented at Bharat Parv by 15 artists from Goa. The said programme was curated by noted artist from Ponda Shri. Sushant Khedekar with music by Dr. Saish Deshpande. Shri. Bipin Khedekar compered the Programme.
Apart from Tableau, the food stall set up by the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa to promote Goan Cuisine also attracts a large number of people.
It may be noted that on the occasion of the Republic Day parade in the National Capital, New Delhi tableaux from 16 states and Union Territories and Nine Ministries showcased the Country’s rich Cultural diversity and the nation’s progress.
With this altogether 23 tableaux of different States and Nine different Ministries are presently on display at Red Fort, including of Goa as the event also features food festival, Handicraft Mela, Folk and varied dance programmes.
