06/06/2015 … The state ncp party has strongly condemned the statements made by the tourism minister dilip parulkear over the incident of the gangrape case which took place in the coastal belt of north goa where in mr parulekar had said that such incidents done by pettry criminals were bound to take place in touristic spots

It may be noted that on Monday evening two Delhi based women tourists were kidnapped, gang raped, brutally assaulted, and were held to ransom by a gang of five men who posed as police officers from the crime branch and anti-narcotics cell of the Goa police.

The incident occurred at Arpora and the complaint was filed by taxi driver Abhijit Kochrekar whose car was hired by the Delhi based tourists.

The accused identified by police are Ajay Kusbas, a resident of Arpora, Jeevan Pawar, a native of Karwar, Nadeem Khan, a native of Rajasthan, Trevor Joseph, a native of Mumbai and Kamlesh Chowdhury, a native of Hyderabad.

Addressing media persons tourism minister dilip parulekar said that the accused were migrated youngsters and where ever tourist activities were there such minor things were bound to take place

Ncp spokesperson trojano dmello said that he was surprised to know that the tourism minister had termed the tape accused as petty criminals

Meanwhile former sarpanch and panch member of calangute village panchayat joseph sequiera said that though the incident had taken place in anjuna it was wrong to defame the name of calangute village for unnecessary things
