Goan Reporter News: Applications invited for Manohar Parrikar Goa scholars scheme

Directorate of Higher Education has invited applications from the eligible candidates under the ‘Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholars Scheme 2018’ for the academic year 2023-24. The scholarships will be awarded for the pursuit of post-graduate and doctoral studies to meritorious students who possess excellent communication skills and qualities of intellect and person that offer the promise of effective service to the state/country/world in the decades ahead.

The selected candidates must obtained admissions in a post-graduate or doctoral course in an Institution/University of proven excellence in India or Abroad.

Details for selection of Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholars Scheme and the link to the application form are available at http://www.dhe.goa.gov.in. Interested and eligible applicants should fill the form online available on DHE Website only by clicking on the link: “Application form for Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholars Scheme 2023-24.”

Any applicant with a confirmed admission/studying for PG/Doctoral Programmes in 2023-24 can apply for the Scheme.

The Online Application Form facility will be available from November 24, 2023 to January 15, 2024. On successful submission of the online form, an email containing the details submitted will be sent to the applicant immediately. The printout/hard copy of this email, with a passport size photograph of the applicant affixed on it, alongwith the self attested copies of the relevant documents/certificates should be submitted to the office of Directorate of Higher Education, New SCERT Building, Alto, Porvorim-Goa by Speed Post/Hand delivery, latest by February 15, 2024 positively.

The Directorate will collect the details from the applicants in two phases. In the first phase, only the details needed for shortlisting applicants by the Screening Committee will be collected. In the second phase, details required by the Selection Committee will be collected only from the shortlisted candidates.
