Anjuna Poloce have arrested two persons in connection with an assault that happened with two tourists early morning today.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi one Shri. Shailesh Jha , age- 32 years, r/o Banglore, Karnataka, appeared at this Police Station and lodged his complaint at Anjuna Police station to the effect that on 05/11/2023 at around 03.15 hrs at a parking lot of a restaurant at Siolim, Bardez Goa while they were driving their vehicle gave a slight dash to a parked scooter. Seeing this owner of the scooter and accused person namely Mr. Pravin s/o Prakash Pathrud, r/o Agarwado, Pernem snatched the key of the complainant’s car and further along with one Mr. Jaleel Ahmed, r/o and others with their common intention brutally assaulted the complainant and his friend namely Shri. Mohd Saheed s/o Farooq Ahmed with slaps, fist blows, kicks and wooden sticks on their vital body parts causing them multiple injuries with intention to kill them.
Further accused person Mr. Prakash Pathrud extorted amount of Rs. 5000/- from the complainant through online transaction.
In this connection an FIR vide sections 323, 324, 307, 384, 506 (ii) r/w 34 IPC was registered by Anjuna Police and both accused persons have been arrested.
Both accused persons are employed as security bouncers in the parking lot.
Sdpo Mapusa Jivba Dalvi also informed that they will write for cancellation of license of the security agency.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of Pi Prashal Dessai , SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
