Only one sided stalls to be allowed from Gandhi-cirlce – diwar ferry road so as to keep one side for emergency exits says chief minister Manohar Parrikar, Government to allow liquor shopus to be opened only after 4 pm on four days from 30th of November to the 3rd of December while on other liquor shops would be allowed to open after 12 afternoon.

Taking stock of the arrangements for the upcoming exposition of Saint Francis Xavier’s relics, the chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday stated that the road where the pilgrims would exit after the veneration at Se Cathedral church would be kept completely free from stalls and encroachments at the upcoming exposition at old goa.

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar along with other government officers on Saturday had paid a visit at old goa taking a stock over the preparations for the upcoming exposition of the relics of st francis Xavier at old goa which is schedule to begin from 15th of November this month

Addressing media persons in Old Goa, chief minister Manohar Parrikar said that that the exit route for pilgrims from the st cathedral church connected towards old goa-diwar ferry route via Gandhi circle would be keep free from any encroachments to be kept open specially for emergency services such as the police, ambulance and fire tenders thus allowing stalls only in one side.

The chief minister warned that if any individuals are found openly consuming alcohol during the exposition time in and around old goa would be prosecuted and also maintained that from the 30th of November to the 3rd of December liquor shops would be open from 4pm in the evening while on other days bars would be allowed to open after 12 afternoon.

Chief Minister also clarified that illegal structures in old goa had been demolished to clear the area of congestion.
