Set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, the National Jute Board (NJB) is organizing “JUTE FAIR” which comprises of Display Cum Sale of Eco-Friendly, Lifestyle Jute Products. Around 18 nos. of micro Jute entrepreneurs/SHG/ NGO/ MSME Jute units from different parts, including West Bengal, U.P, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, etc., are showcasing their environment-friendly jute consumer products like, Jute Handicrafts, Jute Dolls, Fancy Jute bags, Jute Shopping bags, Gift items, Jute Wall hangings, Home Textiles, Jute Floor Coverings, etc. Stalls are being provided Free-of-Cost to the Jute entrepreneurs.
The promotional JUTE FAIR is being held at The Hall of The Don Bosco Oratory, M.G. Road, Panjim, Goa – 403001, during the period 12th – 16th Oct’2023. Br. James Marcus, Director, Don Bosco Oratory, Goa, visited the Promotional Jute Fair, Goa, on 12th October 2023.
Shri. T.Ayyappan, Head Marketing, National Jute Board (NJB), appraised the Special Guest, about the developments in the Jute Sector. Special Guest during the visit appreciated the efforts of NJB in encouraging Jute Artisans and their craftsmanship and also advocated use of Jute Products, in the Daily Life, by the general public in place of Plastic products.
Shri.D. Mukherjee, Assistant Director, NJB, co-ordinated the Fair arrangements. The promotional JUTE FAIR is open for General Public, without any Entry Fee.
