PC-PNDT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

Panaji, August 23, 2014 … The PC-PNDT Advisory Committee discussed about the proposals received from various Clinics for setting up of USG machines, renewal of licenses and related other issues at the meeting held under the chairmanship of  Shri Arvind V. Bugde, Additional  Collector  in the Conference Hall, Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex, Collectorate, South Goa, Margao, recently.

During the course of discussion at the meeting, the Committee  decided to send Checklist to all the Clinics/Hospitals in South Goa District to monitor ultrasound clinics to be used during the inspection of the Clinics/Hospitals registered under PC-PNDT Act in South Goa District. The meeting also decided to inspect every ultrasonography clinics every 90 days as per the PC-PNDT Act and in order to carry out the inspection it is decided to have Sub-District Committee obtaining approval from Government involving one Medical Officer/Medical Incharge of Urban Health Centre, Primary Health Centres from all the talukas of South Goa besides one representative from NGO for each taluka which can help to share the workload of inspections in the South Goa District. The meeting also decided to analyze the reports of MTP along with the Form “F”.

The Advisory Committee urged the USG Clinics to submit Form ‘F” regularly failing which stern action will be initiated against them as per the provision of PC-PNDT act. The Directorate of Health Services has made available  online  facilities  for   Form ‘F’ submission.

The meeting  was attended by Dr. A. Siona Gomes, Chairperson  of Advisory Committee,  Dr. Ira Almeida, Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Minaxi Panandikar, Member Secretary,   and  Shri Shanto G. Naik, Information Assistant, Information and Publicity Department.
