Goan Reporter News: Minister Shri Shripad Naik distributes three wheeler bikes to Divyangs

Shri Shripad Naik, Minister for State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Tourism, distributed seven three-wheeler bikes to Divyangs today at Paryatan Bhavan Patto, Panjim, under MPLAD Scheme.

Expressing his commitment to empowering the Divyang community, Minister Shri Shripad Naik emphasized the importance of availing government schemes to improve their quality of life. “All Divyangs should take advantage of the government’s schemes and work towards a better life,” he stated. Recognizing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the release of MPLAD funds in the past two years, he reassured the public that all pending applications would be fulfilled by the end of this year.

Former MLA of Aldona, Glenn Souza Ticlo, highlighted the significance of distributed bikes in enhancing the lives of Divyang individuals. “These bikes will be invaluable in improving the daily lives of the Divyangs,” he stated, expressing gratitude to Minister Shri Shripad Naik for his assistance.

Shri Franky Carvalho, ex-councillor and social worker, and Shri Pundalik Khorjuvekar, Additional Collector-III and other officials, were present at the occasion.

The beneficiaries of this initiative include Shri Gopalo Gango Gaonkar, Bicholim, Shri Paresh P. Naik, Pernem, Shri Kalidas Purso Kunkalkar, Taligaon, Shri Dhiraj Pednekar, Nachinola, Shri Santosh N. Mayekar, Revora, Shri Shashikant Shetkar, Pernem, Shri Nagesh N. Bhat, Salvodar-du-Mundo.
