The Directorate of Agriculture in collaboration with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) today organized a Training Program for the Extension functionaries on use of Nano Urea and Nano DAP at Conference Hall Krishi Bhavan Tonca, Caranzalem.
Director of Agriculture Shri Nevil Alphonso, Sr. Manager of IFFCO Dr. M.S Powar, Field Officer of IFFCO Shri Vijay Bunage , Assistant Director of Agriculture (Crops) Shri Pramod Joshi, Fertiliser Inspector Shri Satyawan Dessai along with other dignitaries were present on the Occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Director of Agriculture Shri. Nevil Alphonso said that Nano Urea is being widely used across the country and Goa should not be left behind as Nano urea has a lot of advantages. Application of nano fertilizers has commensurate benefits in effectively fulfilling Crop Nitrogen requirement, increases Crop Productivity and reduction in Inputs cost thereby enhancing farmers income he also stated that because of its higher efficiency it can reduce requirement of Conventional Urea by 50% or more.
Further he said that it has also benefits in increasing Crop Nutrient content and quality. It also has the additional benefits of better soil , air and water quality which helps in addressing concerns of global warming and in meeting UN sustainable development Goals (SDGs).
Informing that 500ml of one Nano Urea Bottle replaces 45 kg of Urea fertiliser bag and one 500ml DAP bottle replaces 50kg of DAP bag he said it helps farmers to save the cost on fertilisers and increase their income.
Sr. Manager of IFFCO Dr. M.S Powar in his presentation disseminated valuable information regarding how to use of Nano Urea and Nano DAP and its benefits on the occasion.
Nano DAP liquid is an efficient source of Nitrogen and Phosphorus and helps in overcoming Nitrogen and Phosphorus deficiencies in plants. The Nano Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) liquid fertilizer developed by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO), has been notified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Fertilizer Control Order recently. It is biologically safe & Eco- friendly, fit for residue-free green farming.
Nano DAP Liquid has been made in line with Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Sahkar se Samriddhi and Atmanirbhar Bharat to increase farmer’s income and provide them with a better future.
