Addressing media reporters at a press conference in Panjim gtdc chairman nilesh cabral said awareness was the important part of conserving water for future generation and tourism department was harping on people to conserve water for future and on such lines his department were in process of setting up water conservation as well as sewerage treatment plants in all gtdc residencies which could help in using water for daily use
Commenting over the issue of the upcoming golf course at tiracol cabral said that the state tourism department would not allow the owners of golf course to use portable drinking water to be used for the golf course and infect would ask them to have their own source of water for golf course
Meanwhile tourism minister dilip parulekar said that in future keeping in mind rainwater harvesting the state tourism department would develop all its gtdc residencies in the state of goa
