Having already finalised the Deendayal infrastructure scheme for village panchayats in the state of goa the state government is all set to notify the scheme in the next few days according to director of panchayats narayan sawant.
It may be noted that the scheme would enable village panchayats in the state to undertake projects like construction of new panchayat ghars, parks, market complex, jogging tracks, shopping complexes, crematoriums, recreation centers etc as the scheme has been formulated with the aim to create necessary and enduring infrastructure for village panchayats in Goa.
Speaking to goanreporter director of panchayats narayan sawant said Under this scheme every panchayat would be provided a maximum amount of one crore for setting up an infrastructure development project in a village and the project would be taken up by the agency like gsidc or another agency ..
Sawant said se as per the scheme the project would be decided by the panchayat as what type of project they want while the executing agency would be gsidc or other agency to have a good quality project and also could be audited by village also but we want it to be a quality project
Sawant also stated that such projects were needed to go through gram Sabha
