23-05-2013 … The Goa SSC (Class 10) results 2013 were declared on Thursday with a passing percentage of 81.43 per cent including exempted candidates from which girls had higher passing percentage of 85.49% as compared to boys’ 85.19% per cent
The Goa Board of Secondary school certificate Examination was held in March for which more than 18,000 students had appeared for the March 2013 examination.
The examinations were conducted from the 28th of March to the 8th of April at 24 centers in goa
While a total of 9302 boys had appeared for the examination from which 1060 were exempted while a total of 9207 girls had appeared from which 972 were exempted.
In the passing scenario, a total of 7924 boys passed out in the examination while 469 were exempted while in the girls category a total of 7871 got themselves passed while 463 were exempted from the passing category.
The overall boys passing percentage came to around 85.19% while 44.25% were exempted while in girls category the passing percentage was around 85.49% while 47.63% were exempted.
Around eight six schools secured over 95% passing percentage at the recent concluded ssc exams
The board has also kept 3rd of June as the date for revaluation and verification in the presence of parents or guardians, photocopies of answer books, while verification in presence of absentia or presentia is kept on 24th June 2013.
Speaking to media reporters, chairman of goa board of secondary and higher secondary examination J R Rebello gave more details about the examination results and said that more number of students had excelled in this year ssc examination.
