Panaji: October 19, 2019…The Deputy Minister for Health Government of Ghana ( Africa ) Mrs.Tina Gifty Na Ayeley Mensah and the Chief Executive Officer National Ambulance Services ( NAS ) Ghana, Prof. Ahmed Nuhu Zakaria called on Health Minister of Goa Shri Vishwajit Rane in the city recently. The meeting was conveyed for exchanging information and ideas pertaining to the GVK EMRI- 108 Health Services.
During the interaction the Health Minister said that Goa is the only state in the country to have advanced technology in cardiology. With the increasing expectations of the people, the Government adopted digital technology which enables to maintain track record of the disease. Considering the importance of this technology the Government has spent around Rs. 4.50 crores. The Government has strengthened infrastructure and provided with adequate medical facilities to extend required medical services to the people he said
The Health Minister said Goa is facing problem of rise in the cases of breast cancer, and renal disease etc . The Health Insurance scheme of the Central Government implemented by the state Government has covered all the population of the State. In order to provide better medical services to the people the Government has undertaken up-gradation of various hospitals in the state. In order to house in one place GVK EMRI-108 services, the Government aims to construct state of art building .
Mrs.Tina Gifty Na Ayeley Mensah while interacting said that the Government of Ghana gives more thrust on providing better medical facilities to the people. In order to get trained staff for emergency services in Ghana the paramedical students are sent to countries like USA to undergo two years course.
Director of Health Services, Dr.Jose D,sa, Vice –President of Operations &SCM Mr. Kumar Ramalingam, Head of Operation Goa State GVK EMRI Ms.Sushma saini Manager PPPGVK EMRI Mr.Adolf Pacheco and others were present.
