 BRIEF FACTS

 

1) Agacaim P.S. U.D.No. 06/2016 u/s 174 Cr. P.C

          That on 12.03.2016 received phone call from PCR Panaji that one person is lying in Neura Manas, on behalf of state PSI HarishRaut Desai registered and U.D. No. 06/2016 U/s 174 Cr. P.C. visited the spot and dead body fished out, deceased is unknown male person age about 35 – 40 years, wearing reddish half sleeves shirt and black full pant and having mark of Rosary around neck, dead bodyis highly decomposed state.The dead body is preserved in GMC Morgue for identification and for post mortem examinationto ascertained exact cause of death.

 

SOUTH GOA DISTRICT

 1.      Collem PS Cr. No.12/16 u/s 279, 337, 338, 304-A  IPC & Sec. 134(a)(b) of MV Act.

That on 12.03.2016 at 18.00 hrs, HC-3258, Shri. Shamrao s/o Narayan Dessai, of Collem PS, lodged his complaint on behalf of State, that on 11.03.2016 at about 19.00 hrs, at Suktolem, near Amba Bhavani petrol pump, accused Hirday Narayan s/o Jitu Yadav, age 38 yrs, r/o Rajwari, Cholapur, UP, driver of Truck bearing  Reg. No. GA-06-T-0077, drove the same in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Mallem towards Dharbandora direction and when reached at Suktolem, near Amba Bhavani petrol pump, while overtaking one white colour car (number & make not known) dashed against incoming Cruiser truck bearing Reg. No. KA-32-N-3822 on its right side, as a result of which, the three occupants of the said Cruiser truck namely (1) Suresh s/o Shantinath Dhupdal, (2) Sadashiv s/o Shrikant More and (3) Nigappa Jaigauda s/o Nemmanna, all r/o Nangao, Athani, Belgaum, Karnataka, succumbed to their injuries and two occupants namely (1) Basavraj s/o Curimalla Padamanavar and (2) Santosh s/o Laxman Devaraddi sustained grievous injuries, whereas remaining occupants namely (1) Ballappa s/o Bhimappa Padanad, (2) Bhartesh s/o Sadashiv Dhupdal, (3) Jotiba s/o Mahadev Rabakavi, (4) Bharmu s/o Satagonda Patil, (5) Rajendra s/o Surendra Jaigauda, (6) Chetan s/o Dhanpal Sangali sustained simple injuries. Further, the accused driver fled away from the spot without intimating the Police and without providing medical aid to the injured. Accused driver was arrested at 18.30 hrs. Further investigation is in progress.

 2. Ponda PS Cr. No. 69/16 u/s 447, 427, 506 r/w 34 IPC.

 That on 12.03.2016 at 21.00 hrs, registered an offence upon the complaint of Tushar s/o Tulshidas Gaonkar, age 25 yrs, r/o H. No. 422, Opawada, Khandepar, Ponda that on 12.03.2016 at 14.00 hrs accused persons namely (1) Vinod Gangaram Gawde, (2) Gangaram s/o Hiru Gawde, (3) Arti w/o Vinod Gawde and (4) Sita w/o Gangaram Gawde, all r/o Opawada, Khandepar, Ponda, trespassed with JCB machine into the property of the complainant in survey No. 133/0 in village Opa and damaged the compound wall, one coconut tree, one mango tree and two beetle nut tree with the help of JCB thereby causing loss to the tune of Rs. 10000/- to the complainant and also threatened the complainant with dire consequences. Further investigation is in progress.

 

B.     UNNATURAL DEATH CASES.

1.      Mormugao PS U.D. No. 04/16 U/s 174 Cr. P.C.

That on 12.03.2016 at 19.40 hrs. Mormugao PS received W/M from CP, GMC, Bambolim informing that patient namely Dharmendra Singh, age 24 yrs, r/o Vasco, MLC No. 16/2145 admitted in ward No. 111 as a case of injury at workplace at MPT has expired while undergoing treatment. SDPO Vasco, SDM Vasco & PI Mormugao visited the spot. Inquiry conducted revealed that the said person is n/o Bihar and was a daily wage labour who was hired by a company namely Shaikh Nuha & Sons for unloading of granite stones from railway wagon arrived at MPT port berth. On 12.03.2016 at around 08.00 hrs, when the deceased along with other labours were unloading the granite stones from the railway wagon with the help of the crane on berth No. 11 and while the stone was being lifted with the help of the crane, the stone swung and hit the deceased who was shifted for medical treatment at Sanjivani Hospital, Vasco and then GMC Bambolim where he expired. Family members of the deceased have been informed. Dead body preserved at GMC Bambolim morgue. Further arrangements are kept to conducted Inquest Panchanama and PM examination. Further investigation is in progress.
